Customer Review: Not Compatible With Canon DSLRs (i.e. Rebel series) Without Converter Battery
Contrary to the product title of “Canon CA-PS700 Compact Power Wall Adapter for Canon SX1IS and Digital Rebel XT/XTi & XS/XSi Cameras,” the CA-PS700 Compact Power Adapter does NOT include the battery necessary to actually charge any Rebel series cameras; therefore, it is not the right product for DSLR owners. The product picture of the power adapter + plug = all you get. There is no converter battery included. Amazingly, if one were to look on Canon’s website to find power adapters compatible with any DSLR in the Rebel series, one would come across the CA-PS700 Compact Power Adapter. But the CA-PS700 does not include a special converter battery that is supposed to be connected to the power cord and then inserted into the battery compartment; without the converter battery, the power cord is rendered useless. Somehow, this special converter battery is impossible to locate by itself on Canon’s website as well as on Amazon. What one needs is the Canon ACK-E5 AC Adapter Kit, which comes with the power adapter cord and special converter battery. Right now it only costs ten bucks more than the CA-PS700. For the fact that it works fine for point-and-shoots is great, and for anyone who is looking at this product to use for their Powershot S series, read the positive reviews for that and don’t let me dissuade you. I am giving this product a 1 star rating to caution consumers who are looking for an A/C power charge to their Rebel series.

Haven’t usedthe batteries yet, but the case was in good shape. Better Buy than Best Buy for the $$. Quick shipment. Arrived quicker than I was expecting.
Customer Review: Not worth buying
I bought the case for my Canon SD890. I barely fits and there is no room for extra batteries or SD cards. I ended up buying a LowePro Spectrum 10 soft case instead that fits the camera much better, and has plenty of room for two spare batteries plus SD cards. A much better deal for about $10. The two NB-5L batteries are not OEM Canon batteries, but made by Zeikus (who’s ever heard of them?) and are only 900mAh instead of 1120mAh for the OEM Canon battery that came with my SD890 camera. The description seemed a little deceptive to me as it implied that everything was made by Canon and only the case was, not the batteries. You’re better off buying the LowePro case and some Lenmar or other non-OEM batteries that are higher mAh separately. It will probably be cheaper. At least the batteries charged up OK. Who knows how long they will keep working?

The product is really cheap but serves the purpose. It is easy to setup and there is nothing much to it really. There is a level height to set up the level correctly. Rods a mix of plastic and aluminium. It is light and easy to carry around. Good product overall.

I’ve owned this tripod for almost 9 months now and I love it! I’ve actually taken it to long trips such as Las Vegas, NY, and San Francisco and it’s been very handy for long exposure shots,it’s a little bit unstable when it’s windy but nothing that can be solved by holding it down, it’s really light and comes with a convenient bag. I’m only giving it 4 stars because there are better brands that would probably give you a more stable grip, but overall it’s a really good buy if you’re on a budget.
